TheWing.pk is ushering in a new era of "Coworking From Home."

Coworking spaces provide collaboration and community in furnished and equipped workspaces that are available for rent. But what if the majority of these workspaces no longer serve their original purpose?

There are hundreds of workspace apps displaying space available and attempting to persuade me with the greatest "value proposition." What if you and I (post-pandemic workers who frequently work from home) look for a connection rather than the ideal "work" environment/equipment?

Recently, I began researching new trends and alternatives related to the concept of coworking.

He had previously been working with "Discover" for half a year on the notion of making coworking more accessible when he chose to join forces with "theWing.pk."

Coworking from home is not a novel concept. Why is it now?

True. But years have gone, and people's perspectives have shifted. Covid has been a natural catalyst. Because it demonstrated to many people how difficult it is to work alone in a small room for several months with no one to chat to... Simply put, everyone temporarily becomes an isolated freelancer. The "day after tomorrow" has arrived. People are aware of the problem of loneliness. However, coworking spaces have never been more costly. As a result, theWing.pk is an ideal alternative for re-creating natural and strong social relationships.

Is it difficult to start a business like "theWing.pk" - what have your main problems been thus far?

It is still a challenge today. We are at the start of a big "future of work" wave. Things are moving quickly. And we've only recently begun to collect relevant data. But one thing is certain: it is difficult to "sell" coworking at home without jeopardizing the most valued aspect of a meet-up: spontaneity. I feel it is impossible to put a coworker and a host in situations where they become a customer and a salesperson, respectively. That's strange. That is why we are attempting to persuade individuals to purchase something other than "simply a day at Bob's place." We want them to have full access to the community. With genuine benefits, events, and relevant services.

Would you compare yourself to other coworking spaces?

No! We regard coworking spaces as a supplement to traditional workplaces. We are confident that people will soon have a patchwork of working environments - the future of patchwork seems promising. One can choose to spend Monday in a coworking space, Tuesday through Thursday at its workplace, and Friday as a host for coworking at home. There are countless ways to structure your work week to meet your needs. We must collaborate with coworking spaces to develop a comprehensive and innovative solution that incorporates all of these.

What is your intended audience?

theWing.pk is available to everyone who wishes to meet new employees in a casual and enjoyable setting. Today, our platform is particularly suited to the needs of freelancers. Because they are still more flexible in terms of when they want to cowork. When they book a session, there are no middlemen involved. When you are an employee who need the consent of its hierarchy to make a budget line for that and control the costs, this becomes a little more challenging.

Where do you see the advantages above "normal coworking spaces"?

It's difficult to meet new coworkers because some typical coworking spaces have turned into large open rooms where everyone is silent and wearing headsets, making you feel more alone than remoting alone at home. That is why coworking at home is ideal for genuine networking and authentic meetings in a reassuring cocoon.

The community is essential!

Because the entire idea behind theWing.pk is to bring people together. We are forming a community founded on trust and a strong desire to transform the face of work. Our members are mostly from existing freelancer collectives, and we provide them with a new opportunity to collaborate. There are numerous routes to them, but two are particularly effective: Social media, particularly in organisations that already discuss the future of work or coworking. Word of mouth is the most effective since it assumes that our service is good enough to be communicated without our intervention.

What do you see for the future?

We are certain of two things:

First, because it is what people desire, people will work more remotely and in coworking spaces in the next years. Since the epidemic, corporations have had little choice except to provide positions with “clever” remote conditions - not just scheduled 1 or 2 days a week. If they do not, they will face a serious talent deficit and will expire organically.

The second is a longer-term perspective.

The tertiary sector is about to undergo radical transformation. Climate change, health, and equality... There will be numerous obstacles in the coming century. Because it is unsuited, the way we work and earn a living in the tertiary sector will alter as well. We shall work fewer hours, but more efficiently and responsibly. We will be able to work two or three jobs at the same time. And still devote more time to social, environmental, or athletic activities.

We would love to have new members join us as hosts or coworkers. You can help coworking at home thrive by spreading the word and following our LinkedIn page. So you may be a part of the adventure and share it with the employees with whom you wish to have a theWing.pk!
